I had some pain in my leg and a friend suggested acupuncture, so I went to my local VOODOO practitioner, and they started sticking needles in my ears, they also gave a me a concoction which they suggested that I mix and drink with p!ss. Needless to say I still have the pain, and I wonder whether it's because I did not drink the medication, or because it's all just a BIG CON.

Lasting joint pain relief for 67yo Mother?

Take a couple of Apple cider vinegar pills every day. I find them in the store near diet products. That is how I found out, quite by accident, that they work. (didn't do anything for a diet, however) That is all I take except an occasional Tylenol. I am 66y have had a couple of scopes on both knees that didn't do any good. Also had the series of cartilage shots in both knees. Only worked on one. This is all that has ever worked for any period of time. Worked on my ex too. Just make sure she takes them with food.

My best friend hates me. what do I do?

first time i met her, she was immedietly my best friend. We even got matching earrings after class cause I guess we just loved each others company that much. Then we started inviting other people to our group, and that's when everything started getting funky. All of them, well most of them, were mainly..promiscuous, but I didn't really mind that, seeing as I loved them anyway, then one day, most of the guys they liked were unexpectedly the boys I was also really close to. So on and so forth, they got jealous of me, even though there was really nothing to be jealous about! and started spreading rumors about me all over school. About me being the promiscuous one, and not them and that I had sex with so one and so forth, when actually, I am one of the 2 virgins in the group. they confronted me and i stated my point and they stopped bothering me. THEY REALY HURT ME but I accepted them again. pretty stupid right. So I became best friends with my friend again. until I notice she was starting to abandon me again like the last time, and figuring that she was really sensitive I figured she was mad, so I asked certain people if she was. being tactless as I am I asked most of our classmates, since she also was quite social. then suddenly for no reason she gets pissed at me, for "making" false stories about me and her fighting. I get pissed also seeing as she misunderstood my words. I was merely asking, and never said anything like that. She starts treating me like crap again, so I fought fire with fire thinking this was just one of those petty fights bestfriends usually do, I didnt think it a big deal! but being tactless as I am I told a lot of people about our problem. she got pissed even more because I told everyone about our problem, which still shouldnt be much of a problem since I didn't say anything nasty about her though I would admit I may have contributed to our demise, then I try to confront her so I can say sorry! she either says later (a.k.a NEVER) or she'd avoid me. In the long run I do get to talk to her but she says she doesn't wanna be friends with me anymore, and as I apologize, and she apologizes as well the conversation ends with me finding out that "her" friends (some of our old group mates) were bickering with laughter the whole time they were eavesdropping on us..embarassing right. she was even half smiling the whole way, then after, I cried my eyes out. until now (all this happened the previous school year) I always try to be the better person, but its just hard to listen to her loud voice in class or even see her. I admit I'm quite paranoid now. what should I do..:(

Headaches and migraines?

I have been getting serve headaches and migraines since i was 10 years old, i have tried both natural and western medicine, natural did nothing for me not even acupuncture worked, i have been to test after test, changed my diet completely and still i have had little to no relief. I want to some day have kids maybe in the next 4-5 years, but im terrified i will get my serve headaches and migraines and not have any way of soothing the pain since obviously you can't take medication while pregnant. I'm not sure what to do i've almost come to the conclusion i just cannot get pregnant and have a baby since the headaches are too much of a risk. Does anyone have any ideas or anything that has worked for them with headaches? I'm really worried they will not only affect my career life but my family life as well.

What can I do about my shoulder?

I somehow injured my shoulder (not sure if it was from working or working out).... anyway, the pain is severe. It hurts to carry objects even a child could carry (like a gallon of milk), and it just downright hurts to move at all. Nothing seems to help. No medications (even narcotics) have helped, acupuncture didn't help, chiropractors didn't help, and the most frustrating thing is I've spent a ton of money on doctors and even saw a specialist out of state and MRI's etc.... and they don't see anything wrong. I don't know what to do anymore. I feel helpless and hopeless and I can't seem to live a normal life or do even simple things with this injured shoulder.

Clicking computer? Not hard drive?

So I dropped my laptop the other day and it took a pretty nasty fall to a linoleum floor. At first it seemed fine, when it had fallen the covering around the screen had come unnatached but i just snapped it back on. Then a couple hours later I heard a clicking noise, like someone running a stick down a washboard. It was NOT the click of death, it didn't sound anything like that at all. It was much more rapid and it sped up and slowed down, and only went for a second or two. Now my computer hasn't made that sound all day today, and I'm thinking may something was just caught in the fan? Any other ideas to what it could have been?

Terrible headache won't go away?

I have a really bad headache. It won't go away, it's been getting worse over the past couple weeks. I've had chronic headaches and stuff for four years. They got worse a couple years ago, then weren't as bad. But they've been getting worse again. Nothing helps. I've tried so many things (acupuncture, chiropractor, allergy testing, medications (Depakote, propranolol, Topamax), got an MRI and CT scan and I don't have any tumors or anything. OTC stuff doesn't help at all. I've tried tylenol, advil, excedrin (extra strength and tension headache), sudafed sinus congestion, afrin nose spray, aspirin, zyrtec (I take that every day). I don't know what to do anymore... It really hurts

You may be suffering from Fibromyalgia and depression. You definitely need to be seen by a doctor as there are different ways to treat teens as certain antidepressants can be harmful to you. I obviously am not a doctor but hate to hear about someone in as much pain as you are in, mentally and physically. Like I said, you seem to be suffering from depression, for which there is help and Fibromyalgia which would explain all your pain in other areas. This can't be taken lightly so make sure you see a doctor and get the help that you need. Sorry for you misery, and hope this advice helps.

When you start your computer, wait until there is a screen with options in the corner. It says things like press F1 for... or press F2 for...etc. Click the corresponding key for "System Restore" or something like that. Restore the system to an earlier date where it was working. Hope that helps!

Why is half of my face immobile?

I noticed around 2 days ago that the right side of my face, including my cheek, mouth, and lip, are feeling weird. I'm pretty sure it's not nerve damage cause if it was, I shouldn't be able to feel it when I poke it and it wouldn't hurt if I pinched it right? I am a 15 year old male. My smile is crooked and basically the right side of my lips won't move. It feels like the problem is originating from my cheek which is affecting the way I eat, blink, smile, etc. I think it's a muscle problem. It looks as if I just got back from the dentist and the right side of my face is still numb but I can feel all pain that happens still. The only thing I can remember before that is I bumped the top of my head against a table but that shouldn't have done any nerve damage right? Also, would acupuncture fix this or should I visit my pediatrician? Thanks! :]

I am a far bigger fan of physical therapy, as I feel they apply more types of therapy (i.e. they "do more") and they address more issues of pain (i.e. it has been very rare for a chiropractor to give me a list of exercises to do three times a week to prevent a chronic pain from returning - they usually want to see me three times a week for well, weeks) Massage therapy is another thing that has helped me greatly with musclo-skeletal pain.

so I'm overweight, my mom tells me i am and need to diet constantly my ex boyfriend beat me up about my weight my friends tell me I'm not fat but i feel like they have to say that i expect them to say I'm not fat but i am. lately here's the diet my brain came up with. i will sleep til 1 skipping breakfast then when i get up ill eat something small. today it was a doughnut and an orange. then i wont eat again til 630 or 7 for dinner which i don't eat a lot of either. if i eat inbetween lunch and dinner its one piece of fruit and I am guilty after eating it. I have been obsessive about exercise, 30 laps in the pool everyday its warm enough, walking the puppy at least a mile everyday I have it, dance dance revolution every night for at least an hour, ride horses once a week. I've almost made myself throw up after dinner. I'm obsessive about what I'm eating and if its healthy or not. I have no control in my life. And I constantly beat myself up about everything. My friends get annoyed because its so bad. I can't help it. I have no self confidence because all I do is tell myself these nasty thoughts about myself, I'm fat, I'm ugly, why would anyone ever like me, my friends don't deserve me because I'm too fat, anything like that. Acupuncture worries post hug injury!?

A few months ago a bigr girl gave me a very zealous hug and I felt my shoulder being squashed but thought it wasn't serious however it has gotten worse and I went to a physio who said I had a large lump in the muscle and inserted an acupuncture needle inserted into my shoulder blade. My shoulder is better though not a hundred per cent, but now I have a tingling/numbness in my fingers on that same arm. How can a hug injure me? and what about this tingling?

When they never call, leave nasty voice mails, rude text messages, or rude remarks when talking to you. Why is it that after they do this they act like you're the jerk? When you haven't done anything wrong and wonder why they act this way? Can acupuncture help with losing weight?

Was just wondering if it helps people lose weight? My son is very overweight and I'm trying to help him lose the excess pounds, we speed walk 3 1/2 miles every day, and he has 2 one on one sessions of Thai kick boxing a week. We swim for an hour once a week and he also has 2 hrs of P.E at school. I measure out all his food and have stopped giving him any money. All his meals are cooked from scratch with fresh veg and fruits for dessert with the occasional slice of homemade cake. But the weight doesn't seem to be shifting. I'm not an idiot and I know he does manage to sneak other foods because I find wrappers in his bedroom. I walk him to school and they aren't allowed out at lunch so he would have to buy sweets on the way home and eat it really quickly! He's 14. And only strarted gaining weight when he was around 10. What else can I do as I'm really worried.

Can't sleep heart beat is too strong?

No shaving your arms isnt a bad thing, acutally youd be suprised but allotta women do it, and i'm sure there are some men that do it to. I have a 13 year old beagle who's back legs are starting to give out on her. She can still walk, but she's starting to drag her right leg a lot. We've been giving her aspirin and it seemed to help for the first 2 weeks, but that's it. I'll take her on walks but she can only get to top of the driveway and have to rest. My mom wants to try acupuncture on her, but I think a doggy wheel chair is a better idea. Do you have any ideas?

There's a problem with my throat?

I have puss in the back of my throat it only started about a day or two ago. There is no pain, i can still eat, it's a little irritated, no itching, I just feel like there is something stuck in the back of my throat. Its like little spots of puss.(i'm not trying to be nasty) My sister says it could be herpes, but the thing is i think that i would have caught it elsewhere before i caught it on my throat. Maybe it's just strep throat, even though i've never had it before. Does anyone know what could be wrong?

Why did my parents do this?

Ok so yesterday I went to my cousins house to hang out and take a dip in the pool. When I came out of the pool, his mom offered me something to eat. I said "no thanks" and called my parents to pick me up. When I was talking to them they asked if I had eaten. I said no and my mom got mad. My idea was to go eat at my house but mom didnt understand me. So I waited for over two hours to see if they would show up. It wasn't until I called and lied that I eat a bit. I don't see any other parents with the type of mentality that my parents have. My mom always argues about how I don't eat alot. That's because they always force me to eat and make nasty foods as well. Sometimes I just don't understand them... Why would they do something like that? How can I talk to my parents about it?

My skin and hair get EXTREMELY oily and disgusting during the summer, especially in the corners of my nose, on my scalp and the ends of my hair. I've tried putting toothpaste on my zits, but that hasn't helped and my skin STILL feels oily and disgusting. After I work out, my hair feels REALLY sweaty and covered by disgusting oil, even if it's been JUST A DAY since I've washed it last. The problem gets WORSE if it's humid outside. My skin and hair always feel nasty and oily. My hair isn't normally oily, but it pumps out the oil in the summer. I use over-the-counter acne products for my skin and I use a shampoo for dry hair because my hair is dry. I don't use gel for hold, I use hairspray or conditioner instead. How can I kick the oil to the curb FAST?

When I was 13 I was diagnosed with scoliosis and had spine surgery to correct it. I had 2 curves and they were both really bad so it was a pretty major surgery. Then when I was 14 the bottom of my spine shattered under the pressure of my spine so I had to have another surgery. The doctor took out the bottom of my spine and replaced it with some special bones and replaced the bottom half of the hardware in my back. This was is 2009. In December of 2010 (11 months after my last surgery), I was reaching forward to set down a can of Sprite and I heard a loud snapping noise. After about a week I found out that one of the rods in my back and broke in half and pulled apart one of the fusions in my spine. The doctor said that the rod on the other side of my spine would be able to hold up until they did the surgery in late January to repair it. In the middle of January (approx. 2 weeks before my surgery was scheduled for) my dad took me to the hospital to have the pretests done for surgery. When we were leaving the hospital we both heard an unbelievably loud snap and I fell to the ground. I wasn't able to move from the waist down. The other rod had also broke and there was no connection going from my brain to my legs. My dad was able to get me to the ER and there was no guarantee that I would be able to walk again. I had to stay in the hospital for 5 days until I could have my surgery and then I was in for another 5 after that for recovery. I am now almost 17 and I have a ton of problems with my back. I am a junior in high school and I can only go to school for 2 hours a day because the pain is so bad. I have to take a bunch of medicine to try and keep the pain under control. I am running out of things to try and make my back better. I have done everything from physical therapy to acupuncture and nothing is helping. I get intense leg spasms and I can't walk for a long distance. These problems only happened after the rods in my back broke. Now my parents are looking for a lawyer because it looks like I will have these problems for the rest of my life. They want to make sure that I will be covered for life encase I cannot work. My parents are talking about suing the company that made my rods. We know that it isn't the doctors fault. He doesn't decide which rods go in his patients and which ones don't. I would love to put this company out of business because I don't want them to mess up someone else's life like they have mine. Do you think that we would have a good lawsuit if we did go after the company? We aren't the type of people to just go around and sue. We would never have dreamed of doing this if it wasn't for the problems I now have to live with because of their mistakes. These rods are made of titanium, they aren't suppose to break that easily. Anyone tried lymphatic massage or acupuncture following tummy tuck?

I had tummy tuck and lipo of flanks and abdomen two months ago. I have had 2 children and following the 2nd pregnancy, I had stretched skin and my abdomen muscles had seperated. Plus, my belly button had a hernia. Just curious to know if anyone had the above treatment(s) with some success. My plastic surgeon said I am quite swelled still and could benefit from the massage but he said it will take 3 to 6 months before some of it goes down. Very uncomfortable neck ache!?

Ok, 8 years ago i rescued my dog from a local no kill rescue. She is very sweet and i also rescued another little girl who decided to escape and this rescue group found her so i had to go to the place where this woman keep all the dogs. My Little puppy at the time when i got there was stuck in a tiny chicken wire fence with like 7 other dogs and she was matted in poop and the lady told me im lucky shes not keeping my dog, well all the dogs are in nasty poop filled chicken wire "kennels" and they are chained up in these "kennels" and before i saw the deplorable conditions they were in i recommended her to people but she has gotten to the point where she wont let anyone adopt these dogs, I know she has the right to turn people down but its ridiculous and i don know what to do, these animals are suffering, and the local human society wont do anything. Does accupuncture work?

I have frequent shooting hand pain that is not arthritis or brought on by anything (I have been to the doctor mutable times for this and he tells me to take pain killer every day, however it helps minimally). I have tried to just suck it up but now it is so bad that I have to stop what I am doing and massage my hands. Friends have told me about the wonders of acupuncture but I doubt if it actually works. Getting mole removed?

If you don't have any pain, popping, clicking, grinding, stiffness and limited movement of your jaw along with all the other symptoms then it is unlikely to be a sole TMJ problem. Your tmjs could be sore from grinding due to stress, Headaches in the temple areas along with muscle pain in your masseter, temporalis, and other muscles that move your jaw can be related to TMD (temperomandibular disorder). You may also have some form of migraine headache disorder and that can cause tmj pain as well. The main symptoms that you talk about are dizziness, lightheadedness, and now headaches, trouble sleeping and sore neck/back/shoulder muscles. This could be neurological, have your doctors performed a CT or MRI to rule out any brain tumors or tumors along your cranial/spinal nerves? I think you likely have more than one problem but if TMD is one of them then you should have a dentist check your bite to make sure it is normal and talk to them about whether a mouthguard can help. Acupuncture gone wrong?

I had acupuncture for my sciatica and piriformis. It was the third time I had the needles and they were connected to something like a TENS machine. I left the office and complained about my foot feeling funny. After about a week, I couldn't walk. Nerve pain was keeping me up at night, and it was severe. Went to an actual MD, who is now trying to get an MRI, said at least two nerves are involved. Could it be possible that acupuncture screwed up a nerve or two? They were disposable LONG needles. The pain is in the foot, leg. . . now stuck on amiltryptiline (sp), and pain killers.

I know I need to try and error with health things to help me but it costs money which I don't have lots of. So I wondered if anyone had any helpful advice. Chronic Neck Pain, Please Help Me?

My neck has been hurting for the last 6 months and it came about randomly. i went to a doctor and then the hospital where i got some acupuncture done and got some x-rays also. The acupuncture didn't help but the x-rays showed (according to my mom and grandma) That my neck was crooked, but the doctor's didn't have anything to say about it So i guess it was supposed to be like that, I haven't seen the x-ray myself. I've been to a chiropractor about twice and it didn't help the pain. I'm constantly popping ibruprofen and advil. What should I do? My mom wants to take me back to the Chiropractor but i really don't want to, it doesn't seem to be helping! >:P Please help...

Hey there, I was wondering if it was just me who felt this way about my high school. Do you feel like the classes that graduated 3-5 years ago were so much better than the ones that are already there/coming up? I live in the south in a suburb of our capital city (not a great one) and a lot of the kids from that city come to our school because it's one of the best public schools in the state, which I have no problem with but a lot of the kids just totally lack respect for the teachers or any of the programs at the school, also I have noticed a lot of the girls coming up are a lot more skanky (I didn't know how to put that nicely..) But like they are in 7th grade and wear a full face of makeup to school and have already lost their virginity. When I was in 7th grade I wrote pretend books with my friend and climbed trees.. And it's like every girl I speak to has something nasty to say about another girl who *I thought* was their friend? Our test scores are going down and a lot of our really good teachers are quitting and I can't help but feel down about it.. First things first.. What an emotional story! I feel for you, truly. I lost my grandad to Huntington's disease a number of years ago and in the final stages it can be painful to witness. Luckily like yourself I don't carry the defective gene, for which I'm eternally grateful. Your brother, bless his soul, must have been in a very bad place mentally at the time, but you can surely take some solace in the fact that he didn't suffer for the final few brutal years of the illness. In regards to your dreams, in my opinion they will be caused both by your PTSD and your medication. They sound extremely vivid and dreams like that can confuse/scare/bewilder us. I agree with the above answer that writing your dreams down after they've woke you up may help you make sense of it all. How do I get my doctor to give me pain medicine?

I've had chronic back pain for over 3 years and I am only 19. It is really severe and have tried all kinds of treatment - acupuncture, massage, chiropractic treatment, physical therapy, injections, etc. Nothing has worked. Advil does not relieve any pain, either does ultram or muscle relaxers. I suffer every day and it is really bad. I feel like I can no longer take it I just need relief. Doctors won't prescribe me any pain medicine as they are worried about addiction. I don't care I just need relief, there's nothing that's helping me and I can't take this pain. How do I convince doctors to give me a prescription for painkillers?! I can't take it anymore.

Hi , It started last year when I was living in a cold country, I got a flu every few weeks. I got fever, cold , headaches,aches and pains and soar eyes and blocked nose and soar throat and a cough. I went to the doctor and was on antibiotics and steroids to help clear everything up. They worked abit but now I am left with a cough that i have the last year and cant get rid of it! It is a dry irritating cough that antibiotics and steroids and also I had acupuncture on which helped alittle but did not get rid of it! The cough is more frequent in the morning and at night and I find if i exercise my cough gets worse and physically drains me more than usual.I,m a very fit and healthy guy but when i exercise i can feel the fever coming back! Why does no one seem to have the answer to cure anxiety disorders?

because the cure is within yourself. sounds corny but its true. its very odd, having gone through it you have to accept the anxiety, and know that all your symptoms are psychosomatic. once you dont freak out over the symptoms your anxiety overall slowly goes away. this happens because over a period of time your brain chemistry needs to adapt to a "relaxed" state, because if youre an anxious person then this means you have an "anxious" brain, and a changing brain chemistry can cause even more anxietous symptoms. the reason why noone has all the answers is because the brain is way too complex for a 100% cure for psychological issues. and your headaches and neckaches are probably anxiety too. i used to get them often as well, but once i relaxed they went away

Should I blame my mother for what Accutane did to me?

Ok, so years later after receiving acupuncture (which apparently can free up repressed memories), I am re-facing what Accutane did to me as a teenager. I was one of the few with which it caused severe panic and anxiety attacks, suicidal thoughts, and a consequent major depression which caused me to drop out of my second semester of college. It also damaged my vision permanently - my parents have never believed me that Accutane was the culprit; I am 100% sure, after doing extensive research and seeing hundreds upon thousands of similar experiences. My anger issue with my mother is that she took myself, my brother and sister to the dermatologist for mild/moderate acne. I never asked to go, it was her choice. She was so concerned that we were going to get scarring (she is a chronic hypochondriac/depressive). I'm now 42, and I took it when I was 16. I feel that she pushed all of us to take it, despite it being prescribed excessively back in the 80's, and despite the dermatologist ultimately prescribing it. This was before a lot of the warnings came out. Accutane changed both the quality and course of my life, mostly in a negative manner. Is it warranted for me to have anger/resentment issues towards my mother about this? I feel that as a child, I was forced to take something which was not necessary which has caused me much suffering. I resent my mother for ever taking me and I am angry after all of these years. My brother and sister did not have the same experience as me, fortunately. Should I seek counseling to resolve this? My mother is in frail health and I do not want to confront her with it.

What are some alternative treatments that are sometimes covered by insurance?

I have stayed away from things like acupuncture, rolfing, aromatherapy, etc., because I prefer to have treatments that my insurance will cover. Still, I am open minded. Are some of these therapies actually covered by most plans? If so, which ones?

Looking for connections with eyes, skin and arthristis?

As of May 2009 I stopped all over the counter medication and elminated most processed dead foods from my cabinet after seeing a naturopathci doctor. All supplements are natures sunshine. Dramatic improvements began in not having consistent flu like symptoms (5mths) and sinus problems. Switched to more raw foods. In Nov 2009 my eyes had some dryness that made makeup hard to put on. The path to more natural products and foods and supplements continued into 2010. Was able to run for the first time in 6 winters, but March my eyes had an onslaught of problems. Allergic conjunctitus possibly. Left for SC for 5 weeks, symptoms disappeared. Reappeared when I returned to the northern region of Indiana (lake michigan). Started acupuncture and greatly improved. Left mid-august for 3 mths St Louis, allergic conjunctivitus was gone but cyst/acne type developed on the lower back and once a week a cyst on the arms would develop, disappear and scar. Doctors tested for staph and it was negative. November I returned to north indiana and allergic conjunctivitus returned. A chinese doctor said he thought I had lyme disease. I discounted it. Over the winter eye problems mostly disappered but reappeared in March. This time worse and I broke down and went to an eye doctor and got ointment and eye drops to help (later finding the ing are very toxic). Early February I had also noticed suddenly having shoulder problems after sleeping. This was replaced one morning in April, I woke up not being able to use my hands wrist without pain (arthritic type?). As the month has progressed the pain rotates around my body - hips for 2 days between the hours of 11am-5pm. Knee pain while I'm sleeping and disappearing after awaking. hands wrist forearms crippling pain that makes driving difficult. I've never experienced something like this and am at a loss. I've noticed the arthritic pain disappears after a good bowel movement. Also when it rained all last week no eye problems, but tons of arthritic pain. Another guy that has a photographic memory suggested it points to lymes disease???

Does anyone have advice on dealing with chronic tension head and neck pain?

I have been dealing with severe tension neck and headaches for over a year straight. There has not been one day that I have been relieved. I've been to the neurologist. I've had blood tests, ct scan, and an mri. I've done physical therapy and acupuncture. Nothing seems to work. I've been on all sorts of preventatives and pain killers. I can't bend my neck down for more than a few seconds. I can't exercise at all. I can't go outside if it's too hot out. I'm always really hot. I'm always dizzy. I can't think straight half the time. My eyes hurt all the time, I can't move them too quick or too far to the sides, they are very light sensitive, they ache all the time. I have trouble sleeping. I feel so hopeless and sad. I feel like nothing will work and like my life is over. I feel so ill all the time, and just lay in bed and cry. I need advice. I wonder if anyone else knows what I'm going through and how they cope or deal with it.

Oh my gosh how did you even know what suicide is when you were in the first grade? In grade 1 I was only 6 years old and had no clue about these things! Sorry to say his but it's not a bad thing.. You need to speak to a professional. I know maybe you won't want to hear that but trust me I went through almost the same thig as you when I was a teenager. I saw my psychologist on a regular basis and I actually thought she was the only one who understood me. Please don't kill yourself. If your mom is in any way harming you then you should really do something about it. Please get some help! Chronic headaches, nothing helps?

I've had headaches nearly every day for about 4 or 5 years. There's around my eyes and the front/top of my head. Sometimes it almost makes me cry. It started in 5th grade. I've gotten a CT scan and an MRI, and there was nothing there. So there's no tumors or anything in my brain or something. I've gone to a neurologist and tried 3 different medications (propranolol, depakote, and topamax or something like that, not exactly sure what it was called). I've gone to an eye doctor, and I wore reading glasses, but only for about a year, in fifth grade. I went again recently and he said my eyes were fine, like, I might need reading glasses, but it really wasn't that big of a deal. I went to a chiropractor and that didn't do anything but make me irritated, although it did feel good. But she suggested that I might be allergic to something, so I took an allergy test and it said I was allergic to eight very common foods. I went for a month or two without eating these foods, and it sucked, it stressed me out and my head didn't feel any better. I did stop not eating those foods then. But I don't eat foods with MSG or aspartame, and I try not to eat deli meat cause they have something in them too, I can't remember what it is though. I tried acupuncture. I really liked it, but it didn't help. I tried doing yoga, as suggested by my doctor, but that didn't help either. She thought the headaches were caused by stress. I eat healthy and exercise and drink lots of water. Lately it's gotten worse, probably due to allergies. But nothing's helped that either. I have this pressure in my sinuses and stuff. I take Zyrtec. I've been using a neti pot and Afrin nose spray. I can breathe easliy, but the pressure is still there and it really hurts. I did have a sinus infection a few weeks ago, and took Mucinex DM and amoxicilin and Flonase (but I stopped using that). And I've also taken Sudafed nasal congestion stuff. Even without the sinus problems and allergies, I feel kinda dizzy a lot.

When will my cycling start...saltwater help!?

Anxiety, panic attacks before and during menstruation?

Hi. Well it definitely seems as though you have an anxiety problem. I am a male of 49 years old and have had anxiety since i was 29 years old, my anxiety in classed as continual and obviously I have to take tablets everyday and every 4 hours without fail. I'm afraid my love there is nothing any Professional person can do, I could explain to you all about anxiety and would end up as a book. I have researched over the years in depth about this and even had discussions with Psychologists who have agreed there is no remedy and don't get taken in by these cheap skates on internet who offer videos and things as they have no idea. It obviously seems your periods are helping bring out an under laying anxiety problem, I would say this is more due to some women get more nervous when they are having their period and this sets of your anxiety. I tale loranzepan "1mg" every 4 hours as 5 Mg's will send you to sleep, it does me and I am used to the stuff. Stay away from Coffee or tea, I use caffen free tea, no alcahol or chocolate or coca cola, in general things that can make you hyper. I don't think natural medicine will help although having said that It would not hurt to go to a herbalist and ask. As to what kind of doctor to see I would say they don't have any idea whatsoever, as I said before I have challenged many by bombarding them with in depth questions about this and they can't answer as this is not there field. I would however ask your doctor for something like Loranzepan but just 1 Mg this should not send you to sleep, you will still be alert for your children and it may just calm these feelings a bit. How to get rid of acne?

I've suffered from acne all throughout high school and have tried all sorts of things from diet changes, medications from dermatologists such as Retin A, oral antibiotics, birth control pills, I'm currently on Proactiv, and nothing is working. I'm in college now and am just sick of it. I'm looking for a more natural approach to getting rid of it for good because I'm a little uneasy about accutane. I've read about the B5 acne treatment, but I don't really have very oily skin, if anything it's dry, so I'm wondering if that method is likely to work for me? Anybody have experience with this? I've also thought about acupuncture but there isn't a lot of research about this either so I'd love to hear from people with opinions on that. Any other suggestions I can research?

Do I just have to deal with this for the rest of my life?

I've had chronic headaches for about 4 or 5 years. It's pretty much just been one headache since a couple years ago though. I've gotten a CT scan and an MRI, but they didn't show anything. I've seen my regular doctor and a neurologist. I tried three different medicines: depakote, topamax, and propranolol. None of them worked. OTC pain relievers don't work either, they don't even really help at all. I take Zyrtec (sometimes Zyrtec-D) and flonase year round for my allergies because my headaches always get worse during allergy season (spring/summer). But they just reduce the headache to what it usually is. I've tried acupuncture (I got about 4 or 5 treatments), it helped a little bit, but not enough that it's worth the $100 it costs. I went to a chiropractor for a while, but that didn't help my headaches at all. I got tested for allergies but I'm not allergic to anything they tested for (it was mostly food and stuff). I've tried different relaxation techniques but those don't really help either. I take a vitamin every day (it's B stress complex or something). I eat a healthy balanced diet and exercise regularly. I don't have much caffeine or sugar. What else can I do?

Question about acupuncture?

Acupuncture is excellent for muscle strains and pains and conditions like plantar fasciitis. It will speed up healing. In the meantime massage the area that hurts at night before you go to bed. You can roll your foot on a tennis ball. Make sure you wear shoes that have a gel sole or get an insert to keep your heels from pounding when you walk. Also make sure you don't wear sloppy fitting shoes that don't secure your heel properly, or shoes that have no cushioning in them. I got this a few years ago from wearing "goose boots" at the cottage for 2 weeks. Bummer.

Acupuncture does not inflict pain on anyone. Pain only teaches you how to put up with more pain, and if you believe that is what your god is about, then go for it. Medication for back pain?

Okay I'm 16, a female and I'm in serious desprite need of medicine. I have lower back pain all the time for 2 years. I've have hundreds of X-rays and MRI's found nothing so diagonosed me with lumbago. So medicine I've tried that don't work are: naproxen, ibuprofen, Tylenol with codeine, Tylenol, muscle relaxers, Aleve, bayer, BC, Tylenol extra strength. I think that's it but I'm sure I've taken more. The only pill that has EVER helped my back pain was lortab. I've only taken 1 painkiller in my life and that was lortab when I went to the ER one time. Also no chroprators no acupuncture. So pain killers only option since doctors don't want to find out what's wrong? And the pain Is extreme guys. Like so bad I would pay someone to knock me out so I don't have to feel the pain. ): PLEASE HELP ME!! also doctors appointment tomorrow to get me some medicine. Am I going crazy?! or is this what happens from severe anxiety??!!?

It is all anxiety and panic disorder. Depersonalization is a major symptom of anxiety. The thing is, people with anxiety disorders always seem to think it must be something else because anxiety as the cause seems too simple. I've read sooo many things on smoking about people that say this causes them problems with anxiety and depersonalization. If you really don't want to make your anxiety worse, I would suggest not smoking. It sucks, since "normal" people can with no issues, but it's a small price to pay considering the after affects it causes. If you really feel like you are lost and can't deal with it you may try going on an SSRI or anti-depressant (they also work well for anxiety). It will help balance out your serotonin and make you start to feel like yourself again. However, you need to take this all as a lesson. Let it make you a stronger person. I've been going through anxiety for so long and I've decided on becoming a psychologist and teaching cognitive behavorial therapy just so that no one ever has to suffer what I have from this. Anxiety and depression are so common and so painful. I'm so sorry you are going through this too.

If I present this prescription at any of the chinese medicines stores in Ko Shing Street, Sheung Wan will I get help from a herbalist to decide what medicines/teas to take? Are there english speaking herbalist in these stores who can help? Also I do not want to spend too much money to exceed the permissible limit at Hong Kong customs. Whats a reasonable amount? Why is my dog itching so much lately?

I just got a new addition to the family. A australian shepherd mix. I just got him last sunday on fathers day. I had him on purina pro plan and just switched his food to blue buffalo puppy mix chicken and brown rice. I am also giving him a couple of baths using a shampoo by Natures Miracle coat enhancing formula. He is itching the last couple days like crazy and chewing everywhere. He is also sneezing with alot of snot coming out shooting snot everywhere its kinda nasty lol.

Can they prescribe painkillers for headaches?

I've had chronic headaches for about four or five years. Nothing helps. I've tried so many things (acupuncture, chiropractor, yoga, allergy testing, medications (Depakote, propranolol, Topamax), got an MRI and CT scan and I don't have any tumors or anything. OTC stuff doesn't help at all. I've tried tylenol, advil, excedrin (extra strength and tension headache), sudafed sinus congestion, afrin nose spray, aspirin, zyrtec (I take that every day). For the past month or so, they've been getting worse (that's happened before, they were really bad for a while). They've really impacted my life. I don't really go out with friends anymore because I just wanna stay home and rest and no one really asks me to anyway because I don't seem as outgoing anymore (although, I wasn't all that outgoing to begin with). I don't want to do homework, I procrastinate. I never used to do that though, procrastination is weird for me. So, can the doctor prescribe me some painkillers or something?
