Clicking computer? Not hard drive?

So I dropped my laptop the other day and it took a pretty nasty fall to a linoleum floor. At first it seemed fine, when it had fallen the covering around the screen had come unnatached but i just snapped it back on. Then a couple hours later I heard a clicking noise, like someone running a stick down a washboard. It was NOT the click of death, it didn't sound anything like that at all. It was much more rapid and it sped up and slowed down, and only went for a second or two. Now my computer hasn't made that sound all day today, and I'm thinking may something was just caught in the fan? Any other ideas to what it could have been?
